Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) updated for 2022

The Department for Education (DfE) has updated KCSIE - the changes come into force on 1 September 2022.

There aren't any major changes, but there is additional guidance on key issues including: 

  • Safeguarding training for governors 
  • Additional barriers to disclosure for certain pupils 
  • Safer recruitment processes and procedures
