Need-to-know: STPCD 2022 published

All teachers will get a 5% pay increase, with higher increases for those on some parts of the main pay range. Working days are reduced to 194 this school year to reflect the bank holiday for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

The new version of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) is valid from 1 September 2022. The main changes are:

1. September 2022 pay award: a 5% increase to all pay and allowance ranges and advisory points

Some salaries on the main pay range will increase by more than 5%.

All pay uplifts will apply retrospectively from 1 September 2022.
