Use a template and see examples from the HSE

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has a generic risk assessment template that can be adapted for use in any workplace (see section 3). Use the template to keep a record of:

  • How you're controlling risks
  • Who might be harmed in your workplace
  • Further actions you may need to take, and who will take them

The same page has typical example assessments you can download. There's no example for a school, but you may find elements of the other examples useful.
