Your school must have at least one member of staff to every three children, and:

  • At least one member of staff must have a full and relevant level 3 qualification, and suitable experience of working with children under 2
  • At least half of all other staff must have a full and relevant level 2 qualification
  • At least half of all staff must have received training that specifically addresses the care of babies
  • In the judgement of the provider, the member of staff in charge of a room for children under 2 must have suitable experience of working with children in this age group
