First step to supporting pupils with SEND is high-quality teaching
High-quality teaching that is differentiated and personalised will meet the individual needs of the majority of pupils.
Additional interventions and support can't compensate for a lack of good quality teaching.
Therefore, you need to regularly review high-quality teaching in your school, and make sure teachers are familiar with the strategies they need to support pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
