Research on effective interventions: EEF toolkit
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) has produced an evidence-based teaching and learning toolkit for schools. It covers various topics, each summarised in terms of their average impact on attainment, the strength of supporting evidence, and their cost.
The interventions it lists as having the greatest impact include:
- Meta-cognition and self-regulation
- Oral language interventions
- Peer tutoring
- Reading comprehension strategies
