News briefing: Make PSHE compulsory to protect teachers, say heads
The NAHT headteachers' union is calling for PSHE to be made a statutory requirement, to shield teachers from parents' complaints. The NAHT claims that this would protect teachers who are tackling controversial topics from accusations that they are "pursuing a personal agenda".
