News briefing: Selective schools do better in progress 8 measure
Provisional GCSE results data suggests selective schools have much higher average attainment 8 and progress 8 scores than non-selective schools. Faith schools achieved higher scores than their non-religious counterparts, while converter academies had the best results of any school type.
