28 July 2025: the DfE has closed its consultation on space requirements for early years providers. Find out more in our need-to-know on the consultation.

Having a standalone EYFS policy is not a statutory requirement, but lots of providers choose to have one.

It also covers the more general aspects of EYFS provision, such as your curriculum and how you work with
