Having a standalone EYFS policy is not a statutory requirement, but lots of providers choose to have one.
You have a statutory requirement to have certain policies and procedures in the EYFS, but you may cover these in other policy documents, such as your child protection, health and safety, and complaints policies. This EYFS policy cross-references those other policies where appropriate and lists them in appendix 1.
It also covers the more general aspects of EYFS provision, such as your curriculum and how you work with parents and carers.
