Examination contingency plans are a requirement

This is an Ofqual requirement for all awarding bodies. A representative from the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) told us this. It doesn't have to be trust-wide, but you should make sure all of your 'exam centres' (ie schools that offer exams with one of the providers listed in the regulations below) have one in place. 

There's no specified format for the contingency plan, but our model above complies with JCQ regulations. If a school in your trust is an exam centre for a different awarding organisation, you'll need to contact the examination board directly for information about their requirements.
