One of our members asked for advice for staff on conducting effective conversations at subject consultation evenings.
We put this question to three of our associate education experts, Clio Whittaker, Gareth Balch and Malcolm Groves.
Prepare for the meeting
All three of our experts said that staff should have subject-specific information prepared, such as:
- A course overview
- Assessment frameworks
- Text books
- Other resources
Malcolm said that staff should identify clear positives and areas for development for each pupil before the meeting.
