Collaboration between subject leads

Bring subject teachers from your school together with colleagues from your partner primary or secondary school(s), to map what's taught in year 6 and year 7.

Use this to cut out content that pupils have already secured, and agree where to revisit key knowledge so that no pupils are left behind.

The goal is to map the curriculum across the transition between Key Stage (KS) 2 and KS3, identifying what pupils have already learnt when they arrive in year 7 This means teachers can plan year 7 schemes of work that don’t involve duplication, overlap or missing
