If the child has an education, health and care (EHC) plan

The current setting should have completed the statutory review and, ideally, your special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) and/or EYFS lead will have been invited to attend the review meeting.

Once the pupil starts at your school:

  • Review the EHC plan annually
  • Adapt provision and approaches on an ongoing basis, in response to the pupil's changing needs

Identify needs as early as possible, so you can plan
