Catch-up plans

Holmfirth High School has separate catch-up plans for numeracy and literacy, which focus on improving year 7 pupils’ progress and attainment in these subjects.  

Each plan sets out actions relating to 5 different objectives, and includes space to record a red, amber, green (RAG) status relating to the progress of each action.

English and maths in whole-school plans

The school improvement plan (SIP) from Willingdon Community School includes literacy as a priority (see pages 11 to 13). It sets out planned interventions and what the impact of these will be.

Caldew School in Cumbria includes actions for English and maths in its summary of its whole-school action plan for 2017/18. For example, it’s included an action relating to embedding its
