Please note that most of the examples in this article are based on judgements made before the 2019 Ofsted framework came into force. This is because most schools that have received a 'requires improvement' grade under the 2019 framework, haven't yet had a graded follow-up inspection. 

'Good' striving to improve further

Easthampstead Park Community School, a secondary school in Berkshire, was judged 'requires improvement' in June 2014 and then 'good' in June 2016. The school's raising attainment plan for 2021/22 has 10 priorities, focusing on areas such as:

  • Raising attainment in the core subjects
  • Monitoring the impact of the curriculum
  • Developing teachers' expertise
