Primary schools: KS2 headline measures published

Schools received their provisional performance data for 2024/25 on 8 September 2025. Revised 2024/25 Key Stage (KS) 2 performance data at school level will be published on the compare school and college performance service in December 2025.

The KS2 headline measures for 2024/25 are:

  • The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘expected standard’ in English reading, English writing and maths (combined) at the end of KS2
  • The pupils’ average scaled score in English reading at the end of KS2 and maths at the end of KS2
  • The percentage of pupils who achieve at a higher standard in English reading, English writing and maths (combined) at the end of KS2

No primary progress measures data will be published for 2023/24 or 2024/25 because tests were cancelled in 2019/20 and 2020/21 due to the COVID-19
