We've created a model job description and person specification for an inclusion manager for you to download.
There are no specific qualifications or requirements an inclusion manager must have, so you can adapt this model to fit the specifics of the role you need in your school.
Inclusion roles can vary
Depending on the school, inclusion managers may have additional responsibilities not covered in the model above.
For example, they may:
- Be expected to fulfil the role of the SENCO as part of their duties
- Be given senior leadership team (SLT) responsibilities (e.g. assistant or deputy head)
Some schools may have an inclusion officer or co-ordinator, who will have less responsibility than an inclusion manager.
