Follow the requirements in the STPCD
The School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) sets out the requirements that the 'relevant body' (usually your governing board or local authority) must follow when notifying staff about the outcome of their pay reviews (see pages 10 and 11).
The STPCD applies to teachers in:
- Maintained schools
- Academies who are employed under the STPCD (academies that don’t employ teachers under the STPCD can follow it if they wish)
Your requirements around notifying staff have not changed in the September 2024 version of the STPCD.
