Performance objectives for staff linked to whole-school improvement targets

The examples in this article relate to the overarching aims of:

  • Improving pupil progress and attainment
  • Raising the quality of teaching
  • Implementing a new behaviour for learning policy

Below, you can see examples objectives for different roles, all based on the 3 aims. You'll then see suggested success criteria for those objectives, and ways you could monitor such objectives.

The objectives are examples only, designed to demonstrate the link you can make between whole school objectives and individual performance objectives.

When writing your own performance objectives for an individual, include what support, training and resources they will need, dates alongside the success criteria, and details of any mid-year review process.
