We have created a downloadable KeyDoc template that be used when writing a person specification.

The KeyDoc is designed as a generic template that can be adapted for any school-based role. The text that appears in brackets has been included as a prompt and should be replaced with the relevant details of the specific role or deleted as necessary.

The template includes a table to enter essential and desirable criteria for:

  • Qualifications/knowledge
  • Skills
  • Experience
  • Other requirements

The person specification also provides space to record how each of the criteria listed will be assessed.
