What’s the latest?

The DfE is consulting on a draft update to the relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) guidance. The deadline for responses is Thursday 11 July 2024. We don't know what will happen to this consultation or the draft guidance now that a general election has been called, but we appreciate you still may wish to have your say.

Read the proposed guidance and respond to the consultation on the DfE’s website (select the ‘draft RSE and health education statutory guidance' document for the draft guidance).

Don’t change your policies in response to this draft guidance

You should continue to follow the current statutory guidance on RSHE for now, and don't make any changes to your policies or procedures until any new, finalised guidance is published. We'll let you know if and when
