St Mary's Catholic Primary Schools Trust in Surrey has an after-school club risk assessment that was used alongside the wider school one when pupils returned in September 2020 after the first lockdown.
It covers safety relating to:
- Social distancing between adults and children, and between children
- Snacks
- Playtime
- Equipment
- Entrance and exit
At Pickhurst Infant Academy in Bromley, the risk assessment for its before and after-school provision:
- Includes space to record low, medium and high (L, M and H) ratings before and after mitigating risks
- Covers:
- Prevention, such as minimising contact between individuals and enhanced cleaning
- PPE
- Providing first aid
- Responding to infections
Chulmleigh Primary School in North Devon has a wider site risk assessment from when the school reopened to pupils in September 2020, and revised in 2021, which they apply to out of school clubs.
It includes control measures around:
- Dropping off and picking up children
- Limiting movement around the school
- Bringing in items from home
- Cleaning toys and equipment
