Our model family and parental leave policy is designed for you to adapt to suit your school’s or trust's context. It:
- Has been approved by Forbes Solicitors and the NAHT union for school leaders
- Is based on relevant requirements and good practice
Our policy includes sections on:
- Maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay (including for surrogacy)
- Neonatal care leave and pay
- Shared parental leave
- Unpaid parental leave
- Time off for dependants
We recommend you:
