The government's non-statutory guidance on responding to incidents – sharing nudes and semi-nudes: advice for education settings working with children and young people – was updated in March 2024. The updated guidance should be used alongside:
- Keeping Children Safe in Education (statutory guidance)
- Searching, screening and confiscation guidance (non-statutory)
As a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) or member of the senior leadership team (SLT), use the guidance to respond effectively to incidents involving the sharing of nude and semi-nude images.
