Adapt and deliver our briefing

Use this presentation to make sure all teaching staff, including TAs, are aware of how your school supports pupils facing barriers to their learning and/or wellbeing.

The briefing is adaptable so you can personalise it to your school's context.

You'll cover:

  • How Ofsted defines inclusion
  • How your school defines ‘other barriers’ to learning and/or wellbeing
  • How your school supports pupils who have different barriers to their learning and/or wellbeing
  • What staff should do if they think a pupil has a barrier to learning and/or wellbeing, and needs more support

This briefing can be delivered by your inclusion lead, SENCO, or another member of your SLT. They should work with all other staff members involved in inclusion at your school to help them prepare, and gather the information and school-specific data they’ll need.
