Assess the risk of adults living on-site

Ofsted will consider how you’ve managed the safeguarding risk of any adults living on your school premises, as set out in the School Inspection Handbook (paragraph 87).

You should be able to demonstrate that you have fully assessed any risks to children, including:

  • In your safeguarding checks of all residents
  • Access between residential accommodation and the rest of your school premises
  • Your consideration of any visitors that will access the residential accommodation

Consider these risks using our template risk assessment. We’ve included more details on how to manage the different areas in the next section.
