This model document is designed for you and your schools to adapt to suit your context. It incorporates a:

  • Child protection policy (which all schools must have)
  • Statement of procedures for dealing with allegations of abuse against staff (which all schools must have)
  • Safer recruitment policy and procedures

Setting this policy

We've created it so that you can set certain parts of the policy centrally to keep things consistent across your trust – for example, with how information should be recorded, or how allegations of abuse against staff will be handled.

Please note: we've created our policy with primary and secondary schools in mind.
