Some health and safety issues - for example, how your school deals with ventilation as a control measure for infectious diseases, including COVID-19 - should be set out in your health and safety policy for staff to use alongside classroom checklists.

Use the HSE checklist for standard classrooms

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has a health and safety checklist for standard classrooms.

It's not mandatory, but it can help you make sure your classrooms meet minimum health and safety standards.
