Refer to the process set out in your child protection policy 

Use our model procedures for allegations against staff to help you make sure your policy is in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

The policy is in appendix 3 of our model child protection and safeguarding policy. It outlines everything you need to do and consider when responding to an allegation against a member of staff, including supply staff, volunteers and contractors, and is based on part 4 of KCSIE.

There's also space to record whether you need to inform the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), which you must do if the investigation results in the decision to dismiss the member of staff.
