What is the similar schools report?

The similar schools report is a new addition to your inspection data summary report (IDSR), which went live in the September 2026 IDSR update. Instead of just comparing your school against the national average, it compares your school against a group of around 50 schools with a similar context.

You can open your IDSR as you usually do, using your DfE Sign-in account through either:
