Many schools don’t allow year-round support staff to take annual leave during term time, but we know some school leaders are questioning this approach. Offering term-time holidays could:

  • Make the job offering more attractive, helping you to recruit and retain staff (particularly if other local schools don't offer this)
  • Enable lower-paid staff to go on holidays at times when the costs will be lower
