Tips for writing performance objectives

Set objectives for your special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) based on:

  • Your school's improvement plan (SIP)
  • The school's inclusion priorities
  • The SENCO's personal and/or professional development
  • Your SENCO's job description, pay grade and leadership role (if relevant)

You may also want to ask your SENCO to choose and set 1 of their own targets, based on their own developmental aims.
