It's easily adaptable for both teaching and non-teaching roles.

We worked with Forbes Solicitors and Tony Cook, our associate recruitment expert, to develop the template. It complies with employment law, safeguarding requirements and data protection regulations.

You should only accept a CV alongside an application form

This is because a CV on its own won't provide you with all the information you need.

This is set out in paragraph 215 of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2023.

Using our template in faith schools

Faith schools can use our template when recruiting for non-protected posts.

If you're recruiting for a post where a candidate's religious beliefs are integral to the job (such as a 'reserved teacher'), work with the appropriate religious authority to make sure you’re asking the right questions.
