Community and voluntary controlled (VC) schools

Your teachers are bound by the: 

  • School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD)
  • Conditions of Service for School Teachers in England and Wales (Burgundy Book)

Academies The School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) and the Conditions of Service for School Teachers in England and Wales (Burgundy Book) apply to teachers in academies whose employment transferred to an academy at the point of conversion from a maintained school. For all other teachers, your trust is free to either set its own terms and conditions or use the documents above
