Community and voluntary controlled (VC) schools

  • As your employer, your local authority (LA) sets the conditions of service for support staff
  • However, it can delegate this job to your governing board

Foundation and voluntary aided (VA) schools

Academies

  • As your employer, your academy trust sets the conditions of service for support staff
  • Support staff who were employed at the time of transition to an academy may be subject to The Green Book (National Agreement on Conditions of Pay and Service)
