Use these 4 letters to communicate behaviour incidents with parents.

These templates are from our model behaviour policy and can be adapted for both primary and secondary schools

  • The first letter asks the parent to discuss the behaviour with their child 
  • The second asks the parent to discuss their child's behaviour with the teacher 
  • The third invites the parent to discuss their child's behaviour with additional members of staff (such as the headteacher and special educational needs co-ordinator)
  • The fourth informs the parent that their child has been given a detention
