All staff should be trained to manage a safeguarding report

This includes that, when a pupil discloses information, it's best practice to wait until they've finished giving their account before immediately writing a thorough summary. The summary should:

  • Only include the facts as the pupil presented them
  • Not reflect the personal opinion of the note taker
