Take some of the stress out of writing education, health and care (EHC) assessment applications by having a robust record keeping system in place.
Having all the information to hand will make your life easier when the time comes for you to write an EHC assessment application.
Continually collate evidence about:
- Pupil progress
- Pupil needs
- Use of the graduated approach
- Academic attainment
- Behavioural incidents
Monitor how much time it takes you to gather this evidence, and share this information with your headteacher.
If you notice that the time spent on paperwork is increasing, consider ways to increase efficiency, such as using better integrated software.
