Check what your board would like you to include
As an executive leader, you need to provide your governing board with the information it needs to do its job well.
This means, you need to agree on the scope and format of the report with your governing board.
This is explained on page 28 of the Governance Handbook (see paragraph 25).
In addition, ask your governors to specify a format for reports before you produce them. This avoids governors later asking for changes to the formatting of a report.
