It's not a black and white choice of 'central' or 'school' control

Your trust isn't likely to dictate a carbon copy curriculum approach in every school. Equally, you're unlikely to want each of your schools to have entirely different curricula with nothing in common and no central input. 

You've got a range of options along the curriculum-alignment scale, and your approach will depend on things like:

  • The size of your trust
  • Where your curriculum expertise sits
  • Your schools' performance
