These questions are intended as general guidelines to make sure your classrooms cater for the needs of all pupils.
Start by identifying which pupils in a class or year group may need adaptations. Then when completing the checklist, make sure you’re considering the specific needs of the pupils who use the classroom.
If you're not confident with the needs of the pupils, you can ask the classroom teacher, SENCO or another member of staff to complete the checklist.
Our checklist includes extra considerations for pupils with:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Physical needs
- Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
