Make sure online safety is a running and interrelated theme when you devise and implement your whole-school or college approach to safeguarding and related policies/procedures Be aware that many forms of abuse may have an online element  Have appropriate filtering and monitoring systems in place that meet the DfE's filtering and monitoring standards Have appropriate safeguarding measures in place for any periods of remote learning When communicating with parents, you should reinforce the importance of online safety, including making parents aware of what you ask children to do online (e.g. sites they need to visit or who, if anyone, they'll be interacting with online) Have a clear policy on mobile phone and smart technology use in school – you can adapt our model policy to reflect your own rules Teach children about how to stay safe online –
