Embed gender and LGBTQ+ inclusivity throughout your curriculum

There are many reasons to audit your curriculum for its gender and LGBTQ+ inclusivity. For example, to:

  • Make all pupils feel visible and included
  • Help your school community welcome and celebrate diversity
  • Enrich your pupils' learning by including diverse people and their experiences in teaching about all subjects
  • Develop pupils' understanding of gender and LGBTQ+ topics

These aren't topics just for PSHE or RSE lessons – you'll need to look at how you can integrate this approach into your whole curriculum.
