Read examples of letters to parents about residential trips from primary and secondary schools and a MAT.

Primary school examples

Bradley Barton Primary School and Nursery in Devon has published a residential trip letter for a visit to an activity centre, with a permission slip attached. It includes: 

  • Examples of the activities the trip has included in previous years 
  • A payment plan for parents 
  • The opportunities the residential trip will offer pupils 

Penpol School in Cornwall has published a letter of interest on its website for a residential trip to London. It includes:

  • Details of the types of activities the trip is likely to include 
  • The price of the trip 
  • The company the school has chosen to help them organise the trip 

Secondary school examples

Priestnall School in Mersey ran a residential trip to Anglesey. The school published a residential trip letter and parental approval form on its website, covering:
