Handling allegations

Have procedures in place for reporting and handling concerns about or allegations against staff members (including the headteacher, volunteers, supply staff and contractors) Use these procedures when it is alleged that a current member of staff has: Behaved in a way that has harmed a child, or may have harmed a child; or Possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child; or Behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates he or she may pose a risk of harm to children; or Behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates he or she may not be suitable to work with children, including behaviour that may have happened outside of school (known as transferable risk) Have policies and processes to deal with concerns, including allegations that don't meet the harm threshold set out above (this may be included within your staff code of conduct or wider safeguarding
