Your academy trust must:
- Obtain the Education and Skills Funding Agency's (ESFA's) approval before entering into the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets beyond limits specified by the Academies Financial Handbook
- Ensure that disposal achieves the best price that can reasonably be obtained
- Obtain the ESFA's approval before entering into lease arrangements beyond limits specified in the Academies Financial Handbook
- Ensure that any lease or disposal maintains the principles of regularity, propriety and value for money
