You should provide the following child protection training:

  • Appropriate child protection training at induction, which is regularly updated and in line with advice from the 3 local safeguarding partners*
  • Regular training updates (for example, through an annual INSET session)
  • Safeguarding and child protection updates (for example, via email, e-bulletins and staff meetings) as required, but at least annually, to provide staff with relevant skills and knowledge to safeguard children effectively
