Complaints procedure
You must have a written complaints procedure.
If you're an independent school, your policy must comply with the provisions set out in The Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014 (part 7 of the schedule, paragraph 33). Our guidance for academies (linked to below) explains these provision and what you must do.
If you're a non-maintained special school, your policy must comply with the provisions in The Non-Maintained Special Schools (England) Regulations 2015 (part 2 of the schedule, paragraph 31). The legislation is linked in the 'sources' section below.
