Details of year 6 swimming competency

You must* publish details of the percentage of pupils within your year 6 cohort who can do each of the following:

• Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• Use a range of strokes effectively
• Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations

You must publish this by the end of the summer term, or 31 July at the latest.

If selected, you must also take part in a sampling review to scrutinise your compliance with these conditions.

*Academies should always refer to their own funding agreements to confirm exactly what they must publish.

*Website requirements don't apply to pupil referral units. If you're a PRU, check with your local authority about what you must publish on your website.
