Notify the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) of any instances of fraud, theft and/or irregularity where the value exceeds £5,000, individually or cumulatively, or of any value where the fraud is unusual or systematic Notify the Department for Education (DfE) via Get information about schools within 14 days of the appointment or vacating of the positions of member, trustee, local governor, chair of trustees, chairs of local governing bodies, accounting officer and chief financial officer Ensure all fields specified in Get information about schools for these positions are completed and that the records for the individuals holding these positions remain up to date Refer any novel, contentious and/or repercussive transactions to the ESFA for approval Obtain the ESFA's approval before borrowing, including finance leases and overdraft facilities, in line with the Academies Financial Handbook, and only use credit cards for business expenditure Obtain the ESFA's approval for writing off debts
